Do You Know A Lovely Lady?

Crazy Challenge is having a challenge starting today that Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring! And all you need to do is enter a card or project on their site for a lovely lady and keep your fingers crossed! LOL

I decided I wanted to do something I had never tried before and I came across a diorama crad in one of my books and viola...here it is:
I still think it needs a little more but with the way I have it it is hard to add anything! Next one I won't glue untill I know I have all I want. I know I am never satified!

I used Little Honey-Cupcake Honey and then
added stickers from my stash of all things.  I
really wanted her to stand out so I kept the
background simple.

I colored her with copics.

Skin: E00, E51, E02
Cheeks: R20
Eyes: B04
Hair: E35, E33, E31, Y21, Y23, Y11
Dress: R59, R46, R35, R32
Cupcake: E59, E57
Candle: B26, B28
Flame: R35, Y08, Y13
Icing: Y13, Y18

Here is a side view of the card. The template I had was smaller than I wanted so I used a 5x7 inch card and hand drew and cut the arch and the slit that the arch slides into. Then glued Cupcake Honey as well as the present and candle stickers. Hope you like it!

For A Special Lady

Sassy Dtudios Designs is sponsoring a challenge for All Sorts Challenge. You need to make a project or card for A Special Lady! I made a card for my sister. To be honest my sister is my best friend, besides my husband of course! Even though we live a few thousand mile apart she is who I think of first to talk to. She has been there for me over the years...well, after we grew up a bit...and was my maid of honor in both of my weddings! OK I am babbling...can you babble when you're typing?

Anyway check out the challenge and the rules here.

I decided to use "Mulan" from Sassy's newest release. I think she is perfect for my Special Lady card. Just look at the soft and sweet look in her face! Perfect for this card.
Here is the card I made:

I colored her with copics and used TC Blossomwood by K & Co. for my papers. The strip in the center I cut out with a border punch from Martha Stewart. For the flowers I felt I wanted a color that would match Mulan's shirt, so I colored on a small strip and punched out some flowers from another Martha Stewart punch. I stacked, glued and then added a small sead bead in the center.

Copics I Used
Skin:  Eoo, E000, E0000
Hair:  C9, C6, C4, C3
Clothes:  R31, R59, R46, R29 R0000 & T0 all over  E40 w/ T0 all over on shirt
Eyes:  YG06
Cheeks: R20

Hope you liked it. Here are some close ups.

A Celebration Challenge

There is a challenge starting today at Dutch Dare that Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring. Besides following the guidelines that Dutch Dare has you need to submit a card or project that is celebrating something! Now when I hear the word celebrate or celebration I can hear:

Celebrate good times, come on! (Let's celebrate)
Celebrate good times, come on! (Let's celebrate)

There's a party goin' on right here
A celebration to last throughout the years
So bring your good times, and your laughter too
We gonna celebrate your party with you

Ok enough of my voice!
And back to the challenge. I thought of (after the singing) the Sassy "Martini Pin Up" image. It just screams celebration! And with my best friend's 40th birthday coming up it is perfect. Don't you agree?

I used lime green and black paper from my stash, added some silver brads and border to have some bling.
Copics:
Skin: E00, E81 Cheeks: R20 Hair: T7, N6, C2 Clothes & Olives: YG23, YG01, YG0000 Shoes: T5, T7 Shadows: C0, C3 Pantyhose: shimmer & pewter spritz Smooch pearl all over dress Dimensional Glaze on the glass

Now I must add don't forget to follow all of the guidelines that Dutch Dare has set and you could win a prize! Check it out here.

No Squares Here!

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring a Creative Inspirations challenge this week. And as the title suggests it is to make a project that is not a square! Now me being the person I am I took the no square to heart and decided to go all hippie!
I used the "Hippie Chic" image from SSD and then decided to add Hippie Chic paper from DCWV. I felt like the card needed a bit of pizazz so I added the shear sparkly ribbon on the side. Then needed some sort of sentiment and in my stash of digis I found this "Live, laugh, Love" tag and felt that it was perfect. I hope you like it.

I used copic markers to color my hippie and touched up her flowers with twinkletts. And used pop up foam dots to make her pop off the page.
Hair: YR21, E99, E33 Skin: E13, E11 Cheeks: E02 Lips: E04 Shirt: E15, E17 Jeans: B93, B95 B97 Twinkletts: Pink, Sky Blue, Blossom, Orange

Don't forget to follow the rules; check them out here! Have FUN!

I See Dots

I see dots. Do you?
Well you should! This next challenge from GI is all about dots. The design team got to use the kitty with fish digi. It is so cute. You can just see that darn cat is thinking:  how can I get to one of these fish!
I wanted to keep the card simple and the colors a little more subdued because I wanted the goldfish to pop off the page. I ended up printing the image 3 times and layered them to make it stand off the page a bit.  Ok I feel like I am writing in circles. ARRRRRG Anyway here is my card:

I used:
Cat: T1, T2, T3, T4, T0 for blending on the last cat layer I colored it C2, C3, C4, C6 C0 for blending    Bowl: C2, BG15   Goldfish: Orange Peel & black Diamond Stickles   Paper: Daisy Dear by Heidi Grace (both dotted papers) Cocoa Mint by Cloud 9 Designs (brown)

charm from Oriental Trading
bead from my mom's stash!

Now you know the routine...enter any new card or project and link to Guylou's Inimitability, make sure it has dots somewhere on it, and follow the rules posted on the left side of GI's blog. You can win images by using one of Guylou's images. If you don't have one you can get one from her store or by getting a freebie from her group on CDAC. Make sure you check out all of the Design Team's projects and our guest designer Sara Iadanza. Have fun, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
You have until the 31st to get your project entered and posted at the Challenge Blog.

A Challenge To Make You Feel Better!

There's a new challenge starting at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog and Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring it.  The challenge is to create a get well card or project and who doesn't need to have a get well card laying around!
I have to tell you that I love the new images that SSD just released! HMMM I think I posted that before! LOL Oh well, now you know it must be true! Well I saw this challenge was creating a project with the get well theme for some reason the new TINKERBELL image popped into my head. How perfect is it to receive a card with TINK sending you healing wishes! Anyhoo here is my card:

I used the new Tinkerbell Honey image from Sassy Studio Designs and colored her skin and hair with copics. I used Lime stickles for her dress and a pink and diamond mix for her wings. The paper and flowers are from my stash...the pink sparkly is Daisy Dear from Heidi Grace

Since everyone has different rules and guidelines to follow make sure you check out all the information here.

For added pixie dust I used some sparkle spritz on the flowers!

Sassy Studio Designs NEW RELEASE

Well as I had stated in an earlier post I was lucky enough to be the March Guest Designer for SSD images! And this was a great month to have it happen! I am a Disney freak and lo and behold this months new releases are all about Movie Madness!(Disney movies)
I got tp play around with the image Megara. She is the "sassy" heroine in the "Hercules" movie. With one sway of her hips she had not only Herc in love with her but anyone else she came in contact with. I really like her spunk and sarcasm! Just like me! LOL

Anyway here is what I came up with for my project:

I made a little gift box for my niece...don't tell her! And I added some make-up pieces. There is a card as well but haven't finished it yet!

Make sure that you check out the Design Team member's blogs because they each came up with some fabulous projects! The hop started with Alice so if you didn't start there go back! Jasmine is next on the list.

Alice
Pocahontas
Mulan
Tinkerbell
Megara
Jasmine
Mulan
Alice

I really hope you enjoy all of the new images. Don't forget to leave some love for all of the wonderful ladies on the team! Lindsay always comes up with something sassy. Make sure you check them out  here.
HUGS!

March Guest Designer!

Wow. I am one excited person. I get to be the guest designer for Sassy Studio Designs for the month of March. I cannot wait to see what new releases I get to create with. I have been using SSD images for a while now and have always loved the way each image has that bit of sass with that bit of sexiness. That makes for a wonderful combination
Starting 3-4-11 SSD will be having bi-monthly challenges that will coincide with every other Friday freebies (on PCP). The challenge will go on for 2 weeks but the freebie will only last for 24 hours. If you are not a member of Paper Craft Planet you need to head over there and become one.
Any way I am truly looking forward to being a part of Sassy's for the month of March! Be sure to check back here often to see what new releases will be coming out!

An Add On!

OK for a limited time you can get a freebie at Guylous Inimitability. Get it quick it is going fast!

A Sketch Challenge

A challenge, a challenge a wonderful sketch challenge! There is a new challenge starting over at Guylou’s Inimitability. And to participate all you have to do is follow the policy listed on GI's blog and follow this wonderful sketch that Carmen (from the design team) supplied for us:
If you do not have an image from Guylou's Inimitablity yet check out her group on CDAC or her store.
Did you know that March is reading month? I didn’t, but then again it’s always reading month in my house. I am a reading fanatic. Love all kinds of books. Everything from annoyingly sweet love stories to true crime novels. I just love to read. It keeps the mind active. Anyhooo, let’s get back to the challenge. We design team members got to use either Marysse or Caroline. Now any of you who have ever checked out Guylou’s Inimitability Store know that all of her digital stamps are wonderful so when it came to the choosing of using one digi….I just couldn’t….so I made a card with both.
The first one I used Marysse and at first wasn’t sure if I liked how the card came out. In my head I saw her sitting in a comfy chair; all soft and cushy so I thought FLOWER SOFT. What a great product to use to make that chair look soft and comfortable. But it was kinda too puffy, so I printed her again and cut just Marysse out and added her with foam tape. I used papers that I felt were a little subdued to go with a more sophisticated woman! OK, here is what I came up with:

I used:
Hair: Y28, Y38, Y08, Y02             Skin: E00, E000, E0000         Dress: YR07, YR18 w/N2 all over
Book: E39, E35      Chair: flower soft      Paper: Crate Paper, Restoration
On the second card I went a little girly because Caroline just strikes me as a happy go lucky young girl. I actually thought I had finished the card, took pictures and all, but upon looking at the pictures I felt it was missing something. I happened to have my box of rhinestones sitting on my table and had an aha moment and added them. I did the actual background with a dgital paper kit. Here is how this one turned out:
I used:
Hair: Y23, E35, YR23      Skin: E21, E01    Cheeks: R20    Shirt: RV34, R85   Shorts: YG45, YG17               Shadows: N0, N3    The digital papers are from First Flowers Rhinestones from I-rock
The papers look pretty good for being digital, ya think?
Make sure that you check out all of the other design team members because you are about to have your mind blown by all the talent these ladies have! Don’t hold back; leave them all some love. And check out Barbara, our guest designer’s blog as well. You can find it here: http://forgottenscraps.blogspot.com/

Have fun and I hope you enjoy yourself! Don't forget to post your card and link back to GI's blog. It is due by March 17th at 10 pm.
